Game Releases For October

There is a barrage of games to be released in the next few weeks. This week’s releases does not have a stand out but it promises new titles and a new look at classic renditions.
Enslaved: Odyssey to the West could be one of the few new IPs to break through this season. NBA Jam could bring the magic of days gone by arcades to today’s home systems. Castlevaina: Lords of Shadow could be the 3D Castlevania game fans have been hoping for.

The Gadget Glitch Affects The New Nano

Bugs in new gadgets is not uncommon and have plagued companies like Apple, Sony, Onkyo, VTech and Flip. These issues drive buyers nuts as companies rush to bring new gadgets to market without the necessary and complete testing. The latest glitch concerns the new touch screen sixth-generation iPod Nano. For some odd reason Apple designed the player without a real power-down button. The supposed “off” switch places the player in “sleep mode” which still consumes energy.

Nokia Ships New N8 Model

Nokia, the world’s leading cellphone maker, announced on Thursday that it has started to ship its new model N8 smartphone. Delivery of the N8 had been delayed by a few weeks to customers who had pre-ordered. Analysts have noted that the N8 is Nokia’s first real challenge to Apple’s iPhone, which was launched more than three years ago. This is Nokias attempt to get back into the “most expensive smartphone” product line. Nokia’s N8 has received the highest number of pre-orders in Nokia’s history and should be widely available in coming weeks.
