Performing live in area clubs six nights a week, Mike Petrone has built, along with the trio, a considerable following in Cleveland and surrounding areas. Standing Room Only can be assumed when Mike is joined by bassist Marty Block and drummer Roy King.

Together for over a year as the Mike Petrone Trio, they maintain this packed schedule of Cleveland dates as well as out of town trips, including performances at the famed Manhattan clubs, Sardi’s and Club 21. Mr. Petrone is additionally the spokesperson for Europa International Eyewear, allowing for distribution of his recordings in four countries.

Last summer brought further accolades as the trio was invited to perform with the Cleveland Orchestra. They were featured at Blossom Music Center – the renowned orchestra’s summer stage – with Leonard Slatkin conducting them along with vocalist Kathleen Battle.

Bobby Jackson, from WCPN-FM here in Cleveland has been named Jazz Radio person of the year in 1994, 1995 and 1997 by the Gavin trade national publication. Of the Mike Petrone Trio he says: “Petrone’s skillful, pianistic craftsmanship provides the perfect foil for these talented veteran musicians as they display all the virtuosity that comes from years of common musical exploration.”
