In the past my job as an automation engineer required me to draw detailed electrical diagrams and mechanical schematics. The company I worked for, which had been in business for quite some time, moved from the dark ages of pen and paper drawings to computer aided drawings. The first AutoCAD software which was purchased was expensive as well as cumbersome to use. At times it almost made me want to go back to the days of pen and paper drawings. Thank goodness CAD programs have taken a giant leap with the help of advanced software and technology.
